      • Teaching: Special orientation phase at the start of the degree course, well-integrated and active mentoring programme, use of new teaching and learning formats, strong practical orientation, e.g. through case studies, simulations. integration of teaching and laboratory sessions. inter-disciplinary courses whereby students create the "interaction" between the individual subjects.;

      • Equipment: Excellent laboratory equipment both hardware and software; laboratories are permanently supervised by laboratory technicians at the very least: innovation laboratory, CAD laboratory, project and process management laboratory, machine tool laboratory, assembly laboratory, communication laboratory, laboratory for business games and simulations, measurement and control engineering laboratory, virtual reality laboratory
      • Research and Development: German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) research project Process Optimisation in Bevelling using Alternative Cooling Lubricant Technologies. Cooperation with professors in TransMIT (the technology transfer company Gesellschaft für Technologietransfer mbH); inclusion of students within the framework of work as student assistants; assignment of case studies (some in industry), final theses (mainly in industry), work in university competence centres.
