The University of Potsdam's library system comprises 3 departmental libraries. Over 60 per cent of the approx. 1.3 million volumes are in the open access area. The media items are readily available in all departmental libraries via the internal inter-library loan system. Digital resources (including more than 35,000 e-journals and 1.5 million e-books) complement the range of print media. All sites have self-service facilities, cash dispensers (operation by university chip card) and book scanners. The university library also offers courses at different levels on information competency. Open access academic publishing is supported. more information
