Besonderheiten in der LehreInterdisziplinärer Aufbau aller Studiengänge, effiziente Studiengangsgröße mit 20 bis max. 60 Studierenden, Labore und Übungen in Kleingruppen mit 10 bis 20 Studierenden, hoher Anteil an praxisbezogener Projektarbeit aus/in Unternehmen in Kleinstgruppen (2-8 Studierende), ca. 50% der Lehre wird von Spezialisten aus der Praxis durchgeführt, individuelle Anrechnung von Vorkenntnissen.

Orientierungsangebote für StudienanfängerVoluntary tutorials in mathematics, mechanics & construction and electrical engineering are offered during the holidays before the start of studies. Tutorials in mathematics are generally offered during the entire study period. In addition, feedback rounds take place, where students react to their weaknesses with tutorials. The numerous learning groups are supported by rooms.

Orientierungsangebote von UnternehmenThe FH Career Fair Wels takes place annually in October, where almost 90 companies present themselves to the students with job offers and topics for final theses. Companies can also post their job offers all year round on a free online job portal. Besonderheiten in der Forschung & EntwicklungThe Faculty of Technology in Wels is the largest and strongest research faculty of the FH Oberösterreich: approx. 180 current projects, approx. 9M€ acquired R&D funds per year and approx. 140 R&D employees. Major projects, e.g: Josef-Ressel-Zentrum for innovative multi-body dynamics, Josef-Ressel-Zentrum für thermographic non-destructive testing, K-Zentrum für Feed and Food, Quality, Safety and Innovation, various Interreg projects together with research institutions from Bavaria and the Czech Republic, and many more.
