Besonderheiten des StudiengangsGenerally from the third semester students choose their specialization from a wide variety of elective modules. Each module is divided into quantitative approaches (incl. state of resent research) and applications using diverse programing languages. Upon a special agreement, companies such as PwC and Deloitte give block lectures where students use an opportunity to directly align theory with practice and take a chance to complete an internship. After graduating, student are prepared to continue their research at a university at a research department in any other financial institution.
Fachliche SchwerpunkteFinancial Economics program is designed to acquire knowledge and methods in economics, quantitative finance and econometrics preparing students for challenging careers worldwide. The program starts with strong foundation theory introduced via compulsory modules (50 ECTS) and, later, gives students an opportunity to specialize via elective module (40 ECTS) in two fields: economics or finance.
Außercurriculare AngeboteThe program is completely taught in English what attacks student. Apart of workshops and courses during their study, a student community SIMP-SON prepares different cultural meetings about university life in the beginning of each semester. Various workshops and courses are help each semester, incl. job fairs, conferences and scientific debates. Students are also supported via the career service center concerning internship, job search and interview. Our international office offers travel grants for study abroad. Sport center has more than 90 kinds of sport available without fees.
