Besonderheiten des StudiengangsThe Master of Science in International Economic Policy has a strong focus on policy-relevant topics, e.g. protectionism, global warming, inequality, and offers comprehensive theoretical, empirical and methodological competencies for such policy-relevant issues. After completing advanced-level courses in the core area of economics, students can self-select into elective courses in major economic policy areas, in theoretical fields, in research methods or economics journalism. The program offers the opportunity to pursue a dual degree which integrates two semesters at the University of Ghent.
Fachliche SchwerpunkteThe Master of Science in International Economic Policy is an internationally oriented program which aims at preparing students for applying rigorous theoretical, empirical and methodological economic analysis to a wide range of issues relevant for business and public policy. The Master’s degree in International Economic Policy serves as a stepping stone for a professional career.
Außercurriculare AngeboteOur bi-annual IEP-Lecture series invites leading policy-makers and economists and offers students the opportunity to discuss topical economic issues with them. Previous speakers include Sigmar Gabriel (former Federal Minister for Economics and for Foreign Affairs), Hans-Werner Sinn (CESifo), Otmar Edenhofer (Potsdam Institut for Climate Impact Research. Extensive tutoring and mentoring program sponsored by the BMFB; various offers for stays abroad.
