Besonderheiten des StudiengangsA clearly structured programme with a wide variety of optional courses offers the possibility of choosing between an application-oriented or a research-oriented course of study. The research-oriented specialization will prepare students optimally to continue with a demanding Ph.D programme.
Fachliche SchwerpunkteBuilding upon thorough training in Economics at the Bachelor’s level, the Master Program provides students with analytical and logical problem-solving skills, deepens their knowledge of Economics and brings them to the frontiers of current research. Master students are trained for a demanding international professional career, and/or for an academic career in high-level economic research.
Maßnahmen zur Förderung der BeschäftigungsbefähigungThe faculty regularly organizes events such as "VWL in der Praxis" and job information evenings for the interlinking of studies and career advancement. Graduates of the Faculty of Economics report on their professional field as well as their experiences in the career entry. Here, the students are not only able to inform themselves about specific fields of work but also to conduct individual discussions with the speakers and to establish networks. The program "ECONnect" brings students into contact with renowned firms. The faculty is supported by it's Alumni Club (VAC).
