Besonderheiten des StudiengangsTasks such as providing optimal transport conditions for people and the economy as well as enhancing living quality of urban areas can only be successfully met if the transportation system is considered as part of a complex system. Therefore, the interactions between transport, economy, land use and the natural environment must be included into transport planning strategies. The international Master’s Program in Transportation Systems at the Technische Universität München (TUM) provides graduates with the required knowledge and skills to deal with these challenges.
Fachliche SchwerpunkteTransportation Systems
Maßnahmen zur Förderung der BeschäftigungsbefähigungThe Masters have competences to analyze problems and to develop solutions for transportation systems including transport engineering/planning, transport demand management, integrated land use and traffic management, transport network design, freight logistic concepts and intermodal traffic management and control. Graduates are able to overview and to give consideration to all economic, social and environmental aspects of transport for sound decision making. The graduates discern the interrelation between land use demand, transport supply, economic growth and natural environment.
