    A great deal of significance is ascribed to fundamental academic knowledge and methodological skills. The research departments ( Automotive Industry, Cooperation Studies, Information Technology in the Property Industry, Cities and Real Estate, Health Economics, Modern Management Development, Sustainable Property Management, Corporate Governance) employ students for projects. The research results are incorporated directly into the teaching. The institutes have numerous contacts with partners from the fields of research and industry, and teachers.

    Chair in Entrepreneurship, Contact-AS Founders' Initiative (consulting, coaching, information, qualification), establishment of Geislingen Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, modules for business start-ups and success, presentations and workshops, "Students meeting start-ups" lecture series. There have been around 210 start-ups in the last 10 years.
