  • Special features regarding teaching
    The course is broad-based and practice-oriented; specialisation is possible. Two courses of study have an international orientation. A semester/work placement abroad is partially required. There is a large network of international partner universities offering an opportunity for double degrees. The department also offers intensive, personal teaching and support in small groups. Preliminary courses and accompanying tutorials are offered in the lower semesters. International visiting professors and lecturers from the field enrich the courses on offer.

    The two international programmes offer internationally oriented and comparative contents. Some courses are taught in English. A semester/work placement abroad is partially required. There is a large network of international partner universities in North and South America, Europe, Asia and Africa, with the possibility of double degrees. International students account for up to 30% of students in the Master's "International Management". There are regularly international visiting professors.

  • Special features regarding the equipment
    Event facilities are state-of-the-art, they are regularly updated, most recently in 2015-2017. Two rooms are equipped for videoconferencing, allowing for joint events with partner universities, for example. Two PC labs have around 60 workstations and can be used for application-oriented events regarding business software (e.g. DATEV) and for self-study. The curriculum is supplemented with an electronic e-learning platform. Campus-wide WiFi.
  • Special features regarding research and development
    Key research areas are logistics, accounting, business management, business law and international business relations. Special emphasis is placed on the cross-curricular topic of sustainability, including its social, economic and ecological aspects. The Department of Economics is actively represented at the House of Logistics and Mobility at Frankfurt Airport. Research is predominantly application-oriented and conducted in cooperation with companies in the region.

  • Support for founders
    Cross-departmental seminar on business plan development; Since 2014, Entrepreneurship has been part of the Master's curriculum (Bachelor's as well beginning in 2017/18); Annual ideas competition; Advice, also on Exist grants, provided by the Start-up Office; Implementation of two "entrepreneurs in residence" (EIR) as coaches. Experienced entrepreneurs provide regular assistance. After EIR, transfer to experts; We offer online platforms for continuing education in entrepreneurship within the context of the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs EU programme.

    Advice, information and support at Fulda University for prospective students and students with disabilities, chronic illness (including mental illness) or specific learning disorders regarding course organisation, individual disadvantage compensation and barrier-free campus.

    Promotion of diversity at the Fulda University overall, e.g. Family-Friendly University audit (certified since 2006), diversity audit "Promoting Diversity", Total E-Quality award (2009, 2012, 2015). Counselling centres and child care available.
