Special features regarding teachingThere is a wide range of specialisation and compulsory elective subjects, in the Bachelor's degree courses this includes up to 13 specialisations and 3 major areas of study, also in the Master's degree courses various specialisations can be chosen. All study phases are characterised by a high level of practical relevance, mixed forms of learning such as role-playing games, IT-supported business games or company case studies, lecturers with practical experience and guest lectures by practitioners.

Special features regarding the international orientationThe international focus of the Economic and Social Sciences faculty and of the Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences allows all students to gain international experience. The students are supported by the International Faculty Office. An integrated semester abroad (compulsory or voluntary) in the Bachelor's or Master's programme, interesting summer and winter schools during the semester break, a practice phase abroad, lectures in English or participation in a language course, e.g. in Spanish, Russian or Chinese are possible.

Special features regarding the equipmentThe campus offers various IT rooms with the latest technology and comprehensive coverage with WIFI. There are two language laboratories, also for self-learning phases, and projector, transmission and internet technology are also available in the rooms. The library has numerous online databases that can also be used in the learning landscapes and from home via the VPN client. In addition, there are special laboratories, such as the logistics and simulation labs.

Support for foundersThe founders' service is the central contact point for all members of the Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences. This includes: Business coaching, support with concessions and approvals, development of a business plan, funding advice, support for the financing and development of a business model and support with the organisation of events.

Other special featuresPersonal and intensive supervision of the students by lecturers and course coordinators. Thanks to the cooperation with the university, city and district of Osnabrück, there are a variety of sporting and cultural offers that can be easily reached from the campus. The faculty specifically promotes the internationalisation, digitalisation and application orientation of the degree programs. It supports in maintaining health, for example through mindfulness and health training. Social engagement is made possible by the support of numerous student initiatives.
