Special features regarding teachingHigh application relevance in teaching, for example through integrated practical phases and exploiting the potential that the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region offers for projects with leading international companies and health care institutions. Personal support and small course sizes. Funding offers such as "open learning space" (student-driven 1: 1 support by student tutors) and refresher courses (Maths, English), but also special offers for particularly high-performing students in our "Talentschuppen". Mentoring programme for first-year students and course changers.

Special features regarding the international orientationOffering a Bachelor's degree with a focus on International Business Administration (BIM). Numerous opportunities for students to gain international experience: Work in international teams during the "European Accountancy Week"; internship semester with partner companies abroad (e.g. Skoda Czech Republic, VW Kaluga); international case studies with companies, e.g. "Strategy recommendation for international companies" in English; participation in DAAD programmes, e.g. "Go East" summer / winter school and "Russia in practice"; double degree planned from 2020/21.

Statistics programs like SPSS and for qualitative analysis MAXQDA. The library gives students access to over 80 online databases in the fields of economics, law and health; including Beck online, Business Source Premier, nwb database, Pro Quest Ebook, wiso Wirtschaftswissenschaften, CareLit, Cochrane Library, OECD iLibrary, SpringerLink and Statista. Multimedia laboratory for skills acquisition in foreign languages.

Special features regarding research and developmentParticipation of students at the Institute for Management and Innovation in the context of research projects, for example in the field of Digitalisation and the world of work, as well as Social Media Marketing. Research projects in the field of Sustainability and research exemption for a project Artificial Intelligence and Controlling. Participation in the "Social Innovation Lab", which is funded by the donors’ association. Conducting the health economic evaluation of a fund management care project funded by the innovation fund with the participation of students.

Other special featuresThe department offers general studies; this includes a lecture series with well-known speakers from business, science and politics on current topics, workshops on ethics in healthcare and projects such as "Do it! Social Competence as a Key Qualification ". Annual science conference, "Health Economics Conversations", which deals with health economics at the interface between theory and practice, for example AI and digitalisation in the health sector.
