  • Special features regarding teaching
    From the 4th semester, BA students can choose between at least 40 in-depth seminars (max. 20 participants). This ensures that a profile is formed. The range of English-language seminars is huge. Teaching in the MA programme takes place almost exclusively in English. There is also a wide range of seminars at the MA level. Numerous research seminars are offered in both the BA and MA programs. These are accompanied by a comprehensive range of teaching and advisory services in methodology. Guest lecturers from the partner universities.

    Close integration of the faculty with the Cluster of Excellence "The Politics of Inequality", both in research and in teaching. Numerous members of the faculty are involved in central positions and research projects of the Cluster of Excellence through projects as well as fellowships. Examples: Political Elites and Inequality: Information, Heuristics and Policy, "Ethnic Policies" - Remedy for Between-Group Inequalities?, Integration at Work. The faculty is very successful in the acquisition of third-party funding.

    Information events by the Career Service of the University of Konstanz and individual support by the university-wide innovation centre "Kilometer1".

    Early involvement of students in research projects, e.g. through student assistant jobs; intensive support by four student advisers; an obligatory stay abroad is integrated into the Bachelor's examination regulations; 80% of the students in the Master's programme study at one of the 200 partner universities abroad; Erasmus coordinator network; network with employers (internship database, internship archive, internship newsletter); cooperation with numerous renowned employers; intensive involvement of student representatives in teaching development, training programme for tutors.
