    Students of political science in Mannheim are trained by leading international researchers and they benefit from an excellent tutor-student ratio. The programme has occupied leading positions in national and international rankings. The high quality of the internationally oriented research infrastructure and the outstanding study environment deserve a special mention. In addition, students receive outstanding training in quantitative methods of social research.

    The University of Mannheim offers a very good environment for students who are interested in setting up their own business. Business Administration is very broad-based and explicitly covers business start-ups. In addition to this, the Institut für Mittelstandsforschung conducts research on start-ups and entrepreneurship and offers support and advice on the topic. There are also several student initiatives dealing with business start-ups.
  • Characteristics of assistance to differently abled persons
    Students who have permanent health impairments can apply to have their examination deadlines extended. Appropriate compensation can also be made for coursework or examination performance if the student is unable to take part in the foreseen coursework or examinations. Both provisions are covered by the examination regulations. Individual arrangements can also be discussed with teaching staff at any time.
