Renowned guest lecturers from Germany and abroad; The teaching research project The National-Model-United-Nations links theory and practice and enhances students' understanding of international relations and how they work.

    Munich Centre on Governance, Communication, Public Policy and Law: Here, researchers from political science, media studies, economics and law work together across disciplines. Voegelin Centre: The centre serves for the scientific examination of the topics politics, culture and religion. It houses an extensive library. Centre for Applied Policy Research: As an independent think tank, the C-A-P closes the gap between politics and science through extensive educational work. Numerous major externally funded research projects.

    Every year the GSI participates in the National Model United Nations (excursion to New York). Students may earn additional certificates in Environmental Studies and in International Communication. In the Master's degree course there are double degree programmes with the Universitat Pompeu Fabra (Barcelona) and the Stockholms Universitet.
