Execution of several ongoing third-party-funded projects (funded by the German Research Foundation, Federal Ministry of Education and Research) lasting several years in the fields of International Relations, Political Theory, European Integration, Governance Research; further research activities within the framework of the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence in European Studies, the Centre for Democracy and Peace Research as well as the research centre in Japan.
Other special features
Close cooperation and interlinking of the disciplines Political Science, Sociology and European Studies at the Institute of Social Sciences; two study variants are possible in the Bachelor's degree course in Social Sciences: Major in Political Science/Minor in Sociology or Major in Sociology/Minor in Political Science (students may choose either option at the beginning of the degree).
