Special features regarding research and developmentThe research activities at the faculty are divided into research clusters and, in some cases, implemented via institutes. The research results are published via a separate journal series. The Faculty includes the Institute for Trade Management, the Institute for Systemic Management & Organization, the Institute for Consumer Journalism and the 3 + 3 = 7 Institute for Behavioral Economics, Personnel and Process Management; There is also a research professorship at the Ifo Institute for Economic Research at the University of Munich.

Support for founders“Business start-up" module as a compulsory module in the Bachelor's degree courses, offered in cooperation with BayStartUP; since July 2016 cooperation agreement between BayStartUp and OTH Amberg-Weiden; start-up consultant in the department, own research cluster for business start-ups, business start-ups, succession planning and regulation, from which the research results flow into teaching; start-up program Grow4Digital with verifiable modules and certification; consecutive Master's degree course in Digital Entrepreneurship since winter semester 19/20, which provides methods for start-up and innovation management.
