Special features regarding teachingOur study model – the CORE principle – places active, independent learning in the foreground. In this way, the students acquire the skills they will need in their professional lives. Typical features are five-week blocks in which a specific, practice-related issue is worked on; a variety of teaching and testing methods which are consistently aimed at the learning objective; Training partnership, assistant professors supervise the students closely in technical, organisational and personal terms.
Special features regarding the international orientationGlobal network of partner universities; More than 70 partner universities for voluntary or compulsory studies abroad
Common partner universities for exchangeSan Diego State University, USA; California State University Fullerton, USA; Zheijang University of Science and Technology, China; Kookmin University, South Korea; University of Western Sydney, Australia; Universidad international del Ecuador, Ecuador Universidad de Chile in Santiago de Chile; Chile; Metropolitan University Prague, Czech Republic; Bournemouth University, England; Université Lille, France
Special features regarding the equipmentThe SRH Hochschule Heidelberg has modern university buildings with excellent technical equipment.
Special features regarding research and developmentFor us, application-oriented research is in the foreground. This is mainly carried out in cooperation with corporate partners and with the integration of students. This is reflected, for example, in the course "Qualitative and quantitative social research": The DFB Egidius Braun Foundation commissioned our students in 2016 to conduct research on the "service quality of football holidays/free periods". Furthermore, our students write their final theses in cooperation with reputable sports clubs (FC Bayern, VfL Wolfsburg).
Research topics reflected in teachingMarket research / market segmentation; Corporate restructuring; Brand Management; Economic evaluation of sporting events.

Support for foundersThe Founders' Institute of the SRH University Heidelberg has been around since 2010; it is headed by a professor of the Economics department. This is aimed at students, graduates (up to 5 years following graduation) and staff of SRH. At least one team member is supposed to be associated with the SRH (student, graduate, staff member, lecturer).
Characteristics of assistance to differently abled personsOur university and campus are perfectly aligned with the needs of people with disabilities. That is, all areas of the campus and the departments can be accessed easily by all students. This is also true of the sanitary installations. We provide equalisation of disadvantages measures (e.g., extensions for exams and courses); students with chronic illness receive specific assistance, individual support, etc.
Other special featuresAll courses are structured according to a unique study model – the CORE principle. The aim of the CORE principle is to teach key competencies – instead of pure technical knowledge – as effectively as possible. Therefore there are hardly any classic lectures; instead, the students tackle practice-based issues intensively in each module. The new study model focuses on active, independent learning and combines competence, knowledge and the joy of learning.
