Special features regarding teachingOption of a dual degree with Finland; Teachers with often ten or more years of practical experience in leadership positions; External projects with companies in the region are part of the course; Company excursions and contacts with regional companies in one of Germany's strongest economic regions.
Special features regarding the international orientationHigh percentage of English-taught classes (especially in the Master's); The university maintains an international office to coordinate with numerous partner universities in more than 30 countries; The International Office also helps with internships and projects abroad; The university has been audited/certified as: HRK (German Rectors' Conference) "Internationalisation of Universities" audit (2012/13); The university operates its own language centre, where students can learn a variety of foreign languages. Some of these language courses are compulsory.

Special features regarding research and developmentResearch projects, primarily carried out by doctoral academic students, in particular in the fields of Logistics, Marketing and Financial Management. Research staff (professors and academic staff) have combined to form centres of excellence in order to utilise synergy effects on similar research topics (e.g. Centre of Excellence FACT = Finance, Accounting, Controlling, Taxation). 2 cooperative doctorates in the period 2013-2015.

Support for foundersRegular events: Career Night, SME forum; In addition: free start-up advice in cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Swabia (including facilitation of entrepreneurship mentors); Seminar series "key competencies": A seminar about what entrepreneurs should know, "Founders' Workshop"; Infrastructure is provided free of charge for start-ups (start-up room at the castle: use for six months); University provides advice on various funding/support programmes at the federal, state, etc. levels.
Characteristics of assistance to differently abled personsAll classrooms are equipped with modern facilities and provide barrier-free access for students with disabilities (lifts, ramps, etc.); One of the six carrels available in the university library (work booths with electricity and Internet access for undisturbed learning) is suitable for wheelchair users; Disabled parking, disabled toilets, automatic doors, etc.; Assistance in applying for sign language interpreters or technical aids.
Characteristics of diversity advancementVery active participation in the nationwide "Bavaria Mentoring" for the promotion of female students in technical studies; Elective "Integration Mentoring" for the training of volunteer mentors for people with a migrant background; Approval for: three projects of the professors' programme (federal) (one of them at our department).
