Special features regarding the international orientationInternational Financial Management programme: The programme's core is the integrated course of study abroad: All students spend one academic year at a partner university on one of five continents. With the BSc „International Affairs Financial Management, graduates are prepared for the challenges of the international working environment in financial sectors. Degree course in Business Management: Possibility of a degree in International Business Administration, dual degree, integrated voluntary semesters abroad, English-taught specialisation programme IB&M.

Special features regarding research and developmentThere are several research institutes that work on sustainability issues in an interdisciplinary manner. In other words, business research also contributes to raising the university's profile. Thanks to the applied nature of the research and its integration into the teaching, students are familiarised with research methods and ethics early on.

Support for foundersStart-up advice is bundled centrally at Contact-AS. It is the central contact point at the Nürtingen-Geislingen School for Business and Environment for all start-up-related questions. It has over ten years of consulting experience and accompanied over 200 successful companies. With the GIGZ, the university is the partner of a start-up centre that is open to all university members.
Characteristics of assistance to differently abled personsAppropriate equalisation of disadvantages is ensured in all areas, especially for exams (e.g. extension of exam time). The curriculum specified in course and exam regulations can be adapted individually in case of disabilities or illness. Starting in 2017 and thanks to new construction, the department provides barrier-free access for students.
Characteristics of diversity advancementThe university holds the Total-E Quality certificate, which is awarded to institutions that have demonstrated their commitment to equal opportunities in their organisational policy and whose aim is to promote the potential of employees. The principles of cooperation are set down explicitly in a guideline published by the Vice Chancellor. Where the equality of women and men is concerned, the university can look back on 25 years of successful measures, such as its long tradition of awarding an equality prize.
