Special features regarding teachingPractice-oriented training (e.g. internship semester, practical projects, excursions, lectures by practitioners); international orientation (e.g. studying abroad at partner universities, international project week, offering UNIcert language diplomas); mediation of key qualifications (e.g. project and conflict management, moderation and negotiation skills, presentation technique); modern equipment, use of current forms of learning, work in small groups, intensive and individual support for students.

Special features regarding the international orientationEvery year in May there is an obligatory "International project week" with lecturers from partner universities (see module 20). In return, Nordhausen lecturers take on teaching at foreign institutions. Every summer semester, Business Administration courses worth 30 CP are offered in English, so that exchange students can earn their necessary credits when studying together with the local students. As part of an English-language business simulation, students in international teams can work on business related issues.

Special features regarding the equipmentFully equipped sensor laboratory with laboratory kitchen, 12 test stations; group discussion room with observation facilities and storage room with cooling and freezing capacities; laboratory for empirical market and social research equipped with appropriate hardware and software (e.g. SPSS, SAP Fiori).

Special features regarding research and developmentResearch projects in the majors of Business Administration and International Business Administration; theses in the research focus of the representatives of the specialisation; research focus "Sensory product research in the innovation project", "Digital team building", "Supply Chain Project Gypsum Region Harz" and "Corporate Entrepreneurship".

Support for foundersFree advice to our students from all lecturers; Prof. Gocks teaches entrepreneurship. Start-up service of the university to support start-ups (Ms. Dr. Schlangen), university incubator for entrepreneurship (HIKE) in the field of IoT and sustainability (BMBF-funded; probably from 2nd quarter 2020; headed by Prof. Gocks)
