  • Special features regarding the international orientation
    On the one hand, the International Course in Social Work at the department is open to international students who have already completed two semesters in Social Work; the course is offered entirely in English. On the other hand, there are specific modules in the programmes that focus on social work within an international context and on cross-cultural skills. There are also partnerships with 18 international universities. In addition, regular, English-taught continuing education provided by international colleagues and research projects are available.

    All full-time teachers proactively introduce their research experience/work into the their teaching. There are also special modules containing action research projects in the Bachelor's and Master's programmes; This involves students planning and realising their own, small research projects with the support of teachers. What is more, greater weight was assigned to research-based modules as part of the re-accreditation of all programmes. Doctoral students, and their respective research projects, at the department are actively integrated into the teaching.
