    True to the slogan, "we focus on students", the University of Applied Sciences Dortmund puts students' interests first. We proceed according to the three-pillar model of Business Informatics: teaching broad expertise in terms of academically well-founded methods of Computer Science, the targeted introduction to proven academic methods of Business Administration and the development of expertise in the integrative subjects of Business Informatics.
  • Special features regarding the international orientation
    Cooperation with the Intercultural Academy of the Auslandsgesellschaft Deutschland e.V. recognised according to the NRW Further Education law: Foreign language courses at 5 levels according to the European frame of reference in 25 languages as well as internationally recognised language tests. An international representative in the department. The internship semester of the 7-semester course can be completed at companies abroad.
  • Exchange universities for stay abroads
    Am Fachbereich Informatik gibt es einen Beauftragten für Internationales, der die Kontakte des Fachbereichs im Rahmen des EuroMPM (European Master in Project Management) zur University of the Basque Country in Bilbao (Spain), der NTNU in Trondheim (Norway), der Kiev National University of Construction and Architecture in Kiev (Ukraine) und der Kauno Technologijos Universitetas in Kaunas (Lithuania) ausbaut.

    The Dortmund University of Applied Sciences offers advice and information on the entire start-up process for interested students, alumni and academic staff. If a decision to seek professional independence has not been taken yet, we will assist with the weighing of pros and cons to see whether it is an option at all. The first point of contact is Erdme Brüning (G-DUR), the start-up advisor. If necessary, various experts can be involved after consultation.
