Special features regarding teachingThe self-conception of the technical-informatically oriented Clausthaler Wirtschaftsinformatik is to provide graduates in Computer Science as well as in Economics with a solid education. Due to the school's small size, students are very quickly integrated into research groups and thus learn on the job while being individually supervised and supported. For students in the Master's course, there is also the possibility of an (optional) subject specialisation in the areas of Serious Games, Information Systems Engineering and Operations Research.

Special features regarding the equipmentResearch focuses include Decentralised Information Systems and an excellent library and IT infrastructure. In addition to a computer pool with 80 workstations, there are new labs for Software Systems Engineering, Mobile and Enterprise Computing, Human Centered Information Systems and database systems with powerful equipment. The TUC has a modern multimedia lab for e-learning.

Special features regarding research activitiesResearch focuses are the modelling and simulation of socio-technical systems, mobile and enterprise computing, human-machine interaction, software engineering and operations research; students have early access to research activities through current projects.

Support for foundersAdvice to interested parties in cooperation with the Centre for Technology Transfer at Clausthal University of Technology; active role of the professors in the mentoring of founders (e.g.: EXIST funding, anti-fraud project); close cooperation with the student management consultancy ConsultingTEam Göttingen / Clausthal.
