Special features regarding teachingThe Business Informatics programme offered at the TU Clausthal aims to provide students with a solid foundation in Mathematics and Computer Science but also Economics. Due to the school's small size, students are very quickly integrated into research groups and thus learn on the job while being individually supervised and supported. For students in the Master's course, there is also the possibility of an (optional) subject specialisation in the areas of Serious Games, Information Systems Engineering and Operations Research.
Special features regarding the international orientationInternational partnerships with over 30 partner universities.
Special features regarding the equipmentResearch focuses include Decentralised Information Systems and an excellent library and IT infrastructure. In addition to a computer pool with 80 workstations, there are new labs for Software Systems Engineering, Mobile and Enterprise Computing, Human Centered Information Systems and database systems with powerful equipment. The TUC has a modern multimedia lab for e-learning.
Special features regarding research activitiesResearch interests include Decentralised Information Systems, Mobile and Enterprise Computing, Human-Machine Interaction and Global Software Engineering; Thanks to current projects, students are incorporated in research activities at an early stage.
