Special features regarding teachingStudents benefit from small group sizes in the study specialisation modules and in the modules of the Master's degree course. Professors are not only available during office hours, but also after lectures. There is a great deal of flexibility to structure the degree course thanks to the option of studying without an area of specialisation. Students can accommodate their own interests better.

Support for foundersThe department does not offer any special support events, because the central services of the university are very extensive. In addition to cross-university services, students at the OWL University of Applied Sciences have access to the KNOWLEDGE Cube https://www.hs-owl.de/forschung-und-transfer/gruenderberatung/knowledgecube0.html

(IntDiscip)= Interdisciplinary programmes (ME)= Mechanical Engineering (IntDiscip)= very interdisciplinary and thus not classified;
As the ranking is done for the whole subject area, for the single "sub-subjects" it can happen that not all rank groups are represented in all criteria.
