    The degree course is committed to a culture of society that encompasses dialogical didactics and participative learning in study and teaching. The focus here is on: (1) the analysis of social conditions of participation and exclusion, (2) the development of professional skills and (3) the reflection of ethical foundations. The course is characterised by its pronounced curricular combination of the university and professional practice as places of learning. This includes four integrated practical phases in the total workload of two semesters.

    Apart from define mobility windows for longer stays abroad, there may also be shorter study trips abroad within study groups with key themes.

    All seminar rooms are equipped with multimedia and presentation technology. WiFi is available across the university, public PC workstations, a range of information terminals for the latest information and announcements on courses in all buildings. Various dictation machines, photo cameras, mobile projectors and notebooks are also available for students to borrow.

    The content of specialisation areas relates to: Theories, approaches and methods, social work as an applied science, research-based learning with respect to organisation and living environments, subject-socialisation-development as well as participation and social exclusion.
