    Good and individual support through your studies; possibility to focus on exemplary fields of action in social work; wide range of options as well as numerous additional offers for students with interests in sport, experiential education, art therapy, conversation, social space orientation; small and constant learning groups form the basis for self-reflective work in a familiar atmosphere; very strong promotion of semesters abroad and internships abroad, as well as uncomplicated leave of absence during time-out (bringing up children, work, career orientation).

    There are regular “binational seminars”: a themed seminar week is staged with a partner university on site and at the Catholic University.

    Combination of practical and academic focus: The course enables students to critically perceive and understand life and problem situations in the mutual conditionality of the individual and society; imparting relevant explanatory and action knowledge and introducing the current state of research; teaching of necessary techniques of scientific work; encouragement to reflect on the possibilities and limits of research; competencies are expanded in two-semester teaching research projects that are carried out in cooperation with specialist practice.
