The fifth semester is a practical semester and a mobility phase at the same time. An international project is conducted together with Zielona Gora in the Master's degree course. In addition, students can learn Polish for engineers or attend a CAD workshop in Wroclaw or practicals at the TU Liberec. Professors of the neighbouring universities regularly hold lectures on the Senftenberg campus.
  • Exchange universities for stay abroads
TU Baku, Aserbaidschan; TU Wroclaw, Polen; TU Poznan, Polen; Uni Zielona Gora, Polen; TU Liberec, Tschechien; Moskauer Energetisches Institut, Russland
  • Special features regarding the equipment
Four computer pools with the standard design software Inventor and NX as well as FEM software are available to the Mechanical Engineering department. In addition, there is a virtual machine tool and the necessary CNC Software. The laboratories available include Mechanics, Materials-Handling Technology, Piston and Flow Machines, Welding Technology, Materials Engineering and Metallography as well as a Laboratory for Machine Tools. 2 Measurement Technology Laboratories complete the equipment. The special features include a 3D waterjet cutting system, 3D scanner, 3D printing, a carrier rollers test bench, an acoustic camera, etc.
  • Special features regarding research and development
