Special features regarding the international orientationDual-degree agreement with a university in China and Mexico each; Start of an internationally oriented Bachelor's programme with specific modules to develop international management skills from winter semester 2017/18; Increased development of further university partnerships as part of the introduction of the Bachelor's in Industrial Engineering International; Increased numbers of available work placements abroad through industrial partners as part of the introduction of the Bachelor's in Industrial Engineering International.

Characteristics of diversity advancementSupport for the implementation of university-wide programmes regarding the Family-Friendly University and the Career Centre within the department, i.e., specific and professional advice for students on matters of personal and professional further development and career planning. Apart from individual advice, there are regular workshops, seminars and events dedicated to these topics. Broad range of advisory and support services regarding balancing work, university and family. The department has a position funded under the BMBF's professors' programme.
