Special features regarding the international orientationHigh proportion of non-educational students and non-educational academic staff (doctoral students); The proportion of foreign students in the faculty (ET and WI.Ing.ET) is around 19%. For academic staff, it is around 15%. More than 30 (!) nations (from Europe and beyond) are represented. Dissertations can also be written in English. Another special feature: Highly renowned in the international science community – as a result, many international research partners (science and industry).

Special features regarding research activitiesCutting-edge research at the institutes - Electrical Engineering at the TU Braunschweig has been involved in three excellence clusters of the Excellence Initiative of the federal and state governments since 2019 - hence excellent funding in the coming years; Research Alliance with LUH and PTB / DLR; high acceptance of the EIT by public research funding institutions (national / international; remarkable ratio (recurring for more than 30 years) origin third party funds; approx. 70% publicly assessed funds to approx. 30% industrial funds.

Support for foundersParticipation in entrepreneur initiatives of TUBS – also with external partners and other universities. Support (professorship) in initiatives for the founding of graduates (successfully proven several times); support with the start-up of spin-off companies (e.g. temporary use of space etc.).
