    PhD and research into: "Densification of urban settlements from the 1950s to the 1970s in Germany"; describe the machine in the test laboratory. Cooperation in the research project "Integral planning of an energy-efficient networked quarter ("flexquarter")", working field district development and operation. Applied research is an integrated part of teaching; Independent field research and project implementation; Students can participate in research projects of the institutes. Ongoing research on Mies van der Rohe, Eduard Pfeiffer, Hugo von Ritgen.

    The professors of the degree course meet monthly for internal coordination. Here, information is exchanged at a variety of levels: Here, state policy, university policy and departmental news are discussed openly and transparently and joint approaches are defined. The teaching quality in the department is scrutinised during annual retreat sessions. Here, teaching content is coordinated and adapted to current trends as required. This ensure the continuous improvement in teaching quality, cohesion among colleagues and the departmental atmosphere.
