Special features regarding teachingOne of the outstanding features of teaching at HSU is the small-group concept: typical group sizes of 10 to 20 students ensure optimum supervision. The transfer of credits gained alongside studies to final module examinations boosts students' motivation and encourages their continued involvement. HSU has excellently equipped student labs for laboratory practicals; student project work combines theory and practice; interactive, web-based learning is offered as an addition to classic teaching.
-
Special features regarding the international orientationThere are also collaborations with various European and non-European partner universities. These are used for writing final theses, for example. The language centre offers a broad range of courses that students can use to best prepare themselves for periods abroad.
-
Common partner universities for exchangeDartmouth College, USA; Naval Postgraduate School, USA; Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, Florianopolis, Brasilien; ENSTA Bretagne, Frankreich; Universität Tel Aviv, Israel; Norwegian University of Science & Technology, Norwegen
-
Special features regarding the equipmentThe high-quality laboratory equipment is regularly upgraded and expanded. This means that the latest equipment is available for research and teaching.
-
Special features regarding research activitiesHSU is not subject to a civil clause, which also enables participation in projects for peace research
