  • Special features regarding teaching
A two-week orientation period is offered to freshers before lectures commence. In addition to link programmes in Mathematics and Physics and the introductory course for Electrical Engineering, extensive information about everyday student life is also provided. Numerous e-learning courses, tutorials on courses, a mentoring/tutor programme, contract teachers from industry, excursions, an extensive range of compulsory elective modules, online recordings of lectures for preparation and follow-up work and a good student-staff ratio are all provided.
  • Special features regarding the international orientation
Internationalisation is a key issue for TU Clausthal. Around 30% of students and 20% of academic staff come from abroad. Collaborations in research and teaching and student exchanges have been agreed with around 150 partners all over the world. The International Center Clausthal (IZC) is the central office for all international matters and language skills. In selected degree courses, TU Clausthal offers the option of obtaining what is known as a "dual degree". You can find more information at: http://www.izc.tu-clausthal.de/
