State-of-the-art content from the areas of Business Administration (in particular social media, online marketing and relationship marketing), Business Informatics (in particular Business Process Management, IT Service Management, Data Science) and IT (in particular Business Intelligence, Web-based or Mobile Systems and Software Engineering). The topic of Project Management supports an inter-disciplinary approach (in particular, the management of IT projects), which is implemented in particular through practical projects in cooperation with companies.
Special features regarding the international orientation
Students are expected to spend one semester abroad. Practical semesters abroad are also possible. All events in the sixth semester of the Bachelor's course are held in English (lectures and projects with presentations as well as seminars).

Business process management and analysis, IT governance, Web 2.0 and Web 3D, mobile applications (including iPhone apps), data science and business software such as Enterprise Resource Planning Systems, Customer Relationship Management Systems, Supplier Relationship Management Systems. Research into and development of reference models as a core discipline of Business Informatics Management concepts and tools in the field of Strategic Company Management. The Career Centre offers relevant support services (such as development of business plans). Entrepreneurship competitions are advertised and promoted. The university-wide SHUTTLE project focuses on culture-promoting measures to strengthen the culture of innovation and start-ups. The aim is to promote start-up-related creativity techniques and innovation methods.
Other special features
High level of practical relevance in teaching through the analysis and concept design of current topics in Business Informatics by students as part of seminars and project studies. This fosters collaboration, especially with regional companies. This helps to promote an early link to company contacts and work placements as well as permanent positions, thereby increasing career prospects. Seminars and projects have consistently small group sizes and correspondingly, individual grant options are provided by several partners.
