Special features regarding the international orientationThe international focus of the Economic and Social Sciences faculty and of the Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences allows all students to gain international experience. There is the elective option of the specialisation "International Social Work" with stays abroad in Great Britain and Sweden. Interesting summer and winter schools during the semester break or participation in a language course, for example in Spanish, Russian or Chinese, are also possible.

Special features regarding the equipmentExtensive pool of computer workstations, which is also used for courses; Use of video cameras for teaching and testing; lending of digital recording devices possible for qualitative research work; licenses for SPSS and MaxQDA; GPS devices are available for use in teaching (e.g. social space analysis via geocaching). There are various IT rooms with the latest technology and a comprehensive coverage with Wifi on the entire campus.

Special features regarding research and developmentDesign and implementation of your own degree course as the basis for the Bachelor thesis; teaching on the basis of continuous research projects by teachers of the course; possibilities of incorporating research into the internal research focus "Inclusive education - participation as a principle of action and organisation" of the University of Applied Sciences Osnabrück, which is mainly realised by members of the degree program; a member of the teaching team also held a research professorship from 2014-2017.

Support for foundersThe founders' service is the central contact point for all members of the Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences. This includes: Business coaching, assistance with licenses and permits, drawing up a business plan, funding advice, support with financing, development of a business model, support for the organisation of events.
