Special features regarding teachingVery broad and in-depth basic training in all areas of chemistry (AC, OC, PC/TC), all of which are covered by a broad spectrum of lecturers; specialisation by choosing appropriate elective modules from the 2nd semester onwards. Master semester; consistently research-based and research-related, a large proportion of practical work (particularly in the Master's degree course) is completed directly in the study groups.

Special features regarding the international orientationMaster's degree course in English; internationally composed working groups; regular publication of research results in internationally renowned journals; possibility of a stay abroad during studies, several Leibniz Prize winners (most recently in 2015: Prof. Grimme, Theoretical Chemistry).
