Special features regarding teachingChemistry at the TU Braunschweig offers contemporary studies in all relevant areas of chemistry. Great importance is attached both to excellent experimental training in the practical courses and to the teaching of sound theoretical knowledge. The consistently committed faculty members have consistently developed the curriculum in recent years and have firmly installed innovative teaching projects, such as the expansion of research-based learning in the practical courses or the use of 3D printing and virtual reality in teaching.
-
Special features regarding the international orientationStudents are given the best possible support in preparing for stays abroad, for example as part of the Erasmus programme in France, Great Britain or Sweden. Credits gained abroad are still flexibly recognised. Through a long-standing exchange programme with the University of Utah, five students a year can study in the USA, mostly financed by scholarships, after a selection process.
-
Special features regarding the equipmentChemistry at the TU Braunschweig has excellently equipped practical courses for students. In recent years, the equipment of the practical courses has been consistently renewed through the use of study quality funds as well as internal and external funding programmes (e.g. the Chemical Industry Fund). Students are thus introduced to state-of-the-art methods early on in their degrees.
-
Support for foundersThe TU Braunschweig supports students in setting up businesses. Interdisciplinary courses that prepare students to start a business can be taken by chemistry students in the professionalisation area.
