  • Special features regarding teaching
    The courses at Universität Konstanz are organised in the form of integrated courses which each are made up of closely coordinated lectures, exercises, practicals and seminars. This interdisciplinary course system is highly research and practice-related and provides an insight into all aspects of Chemistry. The tutor model at Universität Konstanz also provides intensive mentor support.
  • Special features regarding the international orientation
    During the Bachelor's and Master's degree courses, students are trained for a future career in international research. Although the lectures in the Bachelor's degree course are conducted in German, increasing reference is made to English specialist literature during the course. The teaching language of the Master's degree course has recently been switched over entirely to English. Thanks to numerous Erasmus partner universities, students have the option of studying abroad. In order to finance this, students can apply for one of the many available grants.
  • Support for founders
    The university supports all students, alumni, junior scientists and professors who wish to set up their own business based on their research findings. The range of services on offer includes support and guidance from the initial idea to start-up, assistance with writing a business plan and support with financial planning.   • Characteristics of assistance to differently abled persons
    The department offers intensive course guidance for students with particular needs and is in close contact with the relevant university institutions. The department aims to provide individual solutions and can offer disability-friendly laboratory workstations if required. Examination conditions are individually agreed depending on students' particular needs.
