Special features regarding teachingDistinctive practical training in the Bachelor's and Master's degree courses in Chemistry; strong interdisciplinary orientation of Biomedical Chemistry in the Bachelor's and Master's programs through cooperation with other disciplines (Medicine, Biology, Pharmacy); to ensure high quality, networking with other departments in teaching; very broad range of courses in Chemistry; non-university research institutions on campus that are also involved in teaching; cooperation with the Universities of Frankfurt and Darmstadt with cross-university attendance of courses.
Special features regarding the international orientationHigh proportion of students who spend a semester abroad as part of the Master's degree course. Stays abroad are supported by foreign information evenings and foreign counselling. In addition, we offer partnerships with a number of universities for exchange programmes as well as some Erasmus cooperations. Furthermore, there is a growing number of courses in English to increase the attractiveness for incoming students.

The degree course Biomedical Chemistry (B. Sc. and M. Sc.) allows a variety of further specialisation options.
