Special features regarding teachingBusiness Administration, Economics and Law are considered and taught in an inter-disciplinary way. In addition to in-depth training in Economics, many elective modules, a variety of key competence courses and alternative forms of teaching / learning (business games, problem-based learning, workshops, etc.) are offered. Part of the offer is in English; courses are evaluated; repeatedly distinguished courses with awards such as "Preis der Lehre", most recently "Introduction to Business Administration" 2018; international semester planning made easier by flexible design of module and, if applicable, examination dates.

Special features regarding the international orientationInternational Representative for Economics, double Master's programme with the University of Groningen (MSc. Water & Coastal Management and Master in Infrastructure and Spatial Planning), numerous German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) projects with international partners.

Special features regarding the equipmentOwn computer rooms; the central IT services facility operates the central IT infrastructure of the University of Oldenburg. This includes a High Performance Cluster, server for central services such as e-mail, Internet, FTP, groupware, a learning management system (StudIP). The IT services provide network access and webspace for all students, staff and alumni. All lecture theatres and seminar rooms are equipped with projectors.

Special features regarding research activitiesInterdisciplinary and clearly profiled research priorities (FSP) with regional as well as international partners and international charisma, which are also reflected in the DFG Research Training Group, the Collaborative Research Centre, the scientific centres and in the affiliated institutes of the faculty.
