Special features regarding teachingIn teaching, quantitative approaches are predominantly, though not exclusively, used. This is a result of the recognition that complex, interdependent economic facts can often be more precisely described and communicated using mathematical methods. In addition, we pursue three subjects – Business Administration, Economics and Methodology – in almost equal weighting in the Bachelor's and Master's courses in Economic Sciences. In the English-taught Master of Quantitative Economics, students can apply for the Erasmus Mundus programme QEM (Models and Methods of Quantitative Economics).
Special features regarding the international orientationThe Faculty of Economic Sciences has numerous international partnerships with various European universities. Credits earned at a university abroad can be recognised and integrated easily into the Bachelor or Master in Economic Sciences by selecting special modules. Students of the English-taught Master of Quantitative Economics can complete an Erasmus programme abroad. Students can also apply for the Erasmus Mundus programme QEM (Models and Methods of Quantitative Economics).

Support for foundersThe Start-Up Management modules teaches fundamental subject-specific and methodological skills for start-up management. In several courses, students are thus given an overview of the central requirements in the start-up process, as well as of the possible “tools” and/or alternative approaches to meet those requirements. Not least, these skills are consolidated on the basis of this insight into the start-up practice. Bachelor and Master students can take the module as part of “Individual Supplementation”.
