Special features regarding the equipmentThe Faculty has five training pools with a total of 100 computer workstations, with two pools with a total of 35 computer workstations that make up a combined conference, presentation and training pool. In addition to the permanently available basic software, further software can also be provided or installed as required for particular events. Equipment of two PC pools in accordance with Educational Testing Service guidelines in order to conduct the "Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)". Databases such as WRDS, Dafne, Osiris, Compustat are available.

Support for foundersWith the Centre for Entrepreneurship and Transfer, headed by the Dean of the Faculty of Economics, TU Dortmund has had an exceptional institution in the field of start-up qualification and advice as well as property rights and transfer since 2017. In 2019 - under the auspices of CET - the state of North Rhine-Westphalia's "Excellence Start-up Center.NRW" competition raised 14.2 million euros to further expand start-up funding.
