  • Support for founders
    The Faculty of Economic Sciences has its own start-up representative, recruited from within its own ranks of professors: The start-up representative is the first point of contact for start-up ideas at the Faculty of Economic Sciences. The representative refers interested individuals to the start-up advisory service of the Georg-August University in Göttingen and in close coordination with the start-up advisory service monitors the first steps towards the idea and implementation. At the central level, there are numerous workshops and a competition on start-ups.

    Central services provided by the university: Separate representative for Diversity Management at the department for academic affairs: Website with information on the topic of barrier-free studying -> information about equalisation of disadvantages, financial and technical aid; Accessibility map (web and app). At the department: Active inquiries at advisory services as to whether there are health-related reasons for any delays in studies; if yes: For example, students are granted more time for writing exams; deadlines for failing modules are extended.

    In terms of content, the three consecutive Master's degree courses are based on the specialisation initiated during the Bachelor's course. The basic education provided in the orientation phase is characterised by study in small groups; this appropriately complements the lectures and enables students to learn both intensively and interactively. Business Administration is also based at the City Campus. Faculty building with course guidance and examination office, central lecture theatre and university library are located directly next to each other.
