    The idea of responsible innovation work by economic actors is the guiding principle of the faculty in research. Research focuses: Compliance and Governance (analysis of the design and impact of institutions to ensure sustainable corporate governance); Marketing and Consumer Science (designing business activities to develop products and services geared to market requirements); Global Change and Development (analysis of change processes in the global economy and in particular the problems of low-income countries).
  • Support for founders
    The Faculty of Economic Science has appointed a founding officer from among the professors: This is the first point of contact for start-up ideas in the faculty. They pass on prospective start-ups to the start-up funding of the University of Göttingen and, in close coordination with them, accompanies the first steps on the way from the idea to a business plan to implementation and marketing. At the central level, numerous workshops and a start-up competition are offered, and projects within the framework of the Southern Lower Saxony Innovation Campus are promoted and coached.
  • Other special features
    In terms of content, the three consecutive Master's courses are based on the specialisation initiated during the Bachelor's course. The basic education provided in the orientation phase is characterised by study in small groups; this appropriately complements the lectures and enables students to learn both intensively and interactively. Business Administration is also based at the City Campus. Faculty buildings with offices of professors and research assistants, student advisory service and examination office, central lecture hall building and university library are located next to each other.
