    Integrated methodology training; (data collection/data analysis and in the neurocognitive field through link to the Center for Cognitive Neuroscience Berlin); intensive support in foundation training through tutorials; training in psychological interviewing and basic psychotherapeutic skills; external guests from companies/therapists are invited who carry out specific exercises with students and often offer work placements and student internships (practice-integrated teaching); provision of accompanying programmes (e.g. psychotherapeutic outpatient clinic).

    The Academic Department of Psychology collaborates with international partners in research and teaching and is involved in several large international project-based associations. This includes EU research associations (e.g. as part of EU programmes FP7, DAPHNE). The Psychology Department is also involved in the International Max Planck Research School LIFE and participates in collaborations, e.g. as part of institutionalised research networks (e.g. a project on "cyberbullying").

    The building has very well-equipped lecture theatres in terms of media technology. The department also has full WiFi coverage, its own PC room and teaching rooms with fixed projectors. The classroom building also has both MAC and PC computer workstations of the main centre for data processing (ZEDAT). Here there are numerous individual workstations to use and printing facilities. All students and teaching staff at FU Berlin also have access to the central Blackboard learning platform as a teaching and study aid.

    The Psychology Department at Freie Universität Berlin is currently the spokesperson for a joint project regarding "Health in Old Age" and as a result is very widely connected across disciplines as part of the "Health Industries and Quality of Life" Knowle
