  • Special features regarding teaching
The EBS consistently prepares its students to take responsibility in times of change and to actively shape the future. For this purpose, the EBS relies equally on imparting the necessary specialist skills as well as on the personal development of the students, e.g. through extra-curricular activities, coaching and social projects. In the sense of a co-creation approach, training formats are particularly important, in which business partners are systematically integrated into the course, thus ensuring the highest degree of practical relevance.
  • Special features regarding the international orientation
The EBS offers its students an international learning experience. This is expressed in English as a mandatory language of instruction and an international student body. Mandatory semesters abroad in BSc and MSc programmes at renowned partner universities, including over 20 with the possibility of a double degree. Compatibility with the international semester cycle and a high proportion of international faculties. International aspects of Business Administration and Economics as well as training in intercultural skills are systematically integrated into the curriculum.
  • Exchange universities for stay abroads

  • Special features regarding research activities
Research on topics of high academic and economic / social relevance, published in ranked international journals / conference proceedings and practice-oriented journals. Many research projects with international partners as well as high participation of doctoral students and cross-departmental cooperation within the university (cross-disciplinary).
  • Support for founders
Large network of successful founders among the EBS alumni; teaching theory and best practices of entrepreneurship (Bachelor: Teaching of theory with a strong practical relevance through guest lectures by founders and industry experts, Master: Startup & New Business Development: close contact between students and companies with intensive support and coaching in small groups for the development of business models); students are developed towards special independence through open tasks and independently organise the annual EBSpreneurship Forum.
  • Other special features
The EBS is characterised by a high sense of community and family character. The students work closely together and, thanks to the small group sizes, also work closely with the faculty. The extra-curricular activities of the students are also particularly pronounced. For example, students are socially involved in the region, organise cultural events and independently organise several congresses a year. The community and the "EBSpirit" remain - not least because of the active alumni association - beyond their studies.
