Special features regarding teachingAs a full department of German studies, we offer research-oriented instruction in all areas and begin with instruction in all the relevant fundamentals. Students can specialise in a specific subject at the end of their B.A. Further specialisation is possible during the Master’s programme, as we offer Master’s degree courses in all subjects. However, it is also possible to continue studies as part of a full-fledged German studies curriculum under the Master’s degree programme in ‘German philology’. As a research-driven department of German studies, we involve students in research as early as possible while at the same time promoting the acquisition of skills relevant to future occupations.
Special features regarding the international orientationAmong other things, we cooperate closely with cooperation partners abroad within the framework of the Erasmus+ programme. We also cooperate closely with China through our Master´s degree programmes at IKG. In addition, we work closely with a large number of partners abroad, particularly in the field of research.
