  • Special features regarding teaching
The Education department is committed to creating a close link between research and teaching. The research focus applies both in the Bachelor's degree course as well as in the Master's course, and for professional teaching and learning. As early as in the Bachelor's degree course, research-oriented seminars and intensive methodology training in problematic application contexts are offered. Teaching is measured in relation to ambitious standards of university didactics, and dialogical learning, subject-related learning or project-related learning is intensively practised depending on content.
  • Special features regarding research activities

  • Other special features
BA in Education: Professional educational practice requires skills that are based on linking theoretical knowledge and research with practical skills. The core element of the Bachelor's degree in Education at the UOL is the three-semester project phase, which allows students to acquire and practice many of these skills. The project phase is an integral part of the one-subject Bachelor's (120 credits) and the two-subject Bachelor's (90 credits) in Education. https://uol.de/paedagogik/studium-und-lehre/projektphase-ba-paedagogik/
