  • Special features regarding teaching
    Department I consists of the subjects Psychology, Educational Sciences, Philosophy and Nursing Sciences. A psychology module designed for students of educational science is an obligatory component of the BA in Social and Organisational Pedagogy. The degree courses of the Educational Science teaching unit are not linked to the teacher training programmes of the Educational Sciences unit. The degree courses are well integrated into the region: Most BA and MA graduates find work in the region.

    The University of Trier, department I and the Educational Science department are part of the "Universität der Großregion" and have close research and teaching links with the University of Luxembourg. In addition, the educational science department organises study exchange programmes with the universities in Leiden, Zurich, Jyväskylä, Toronto/Ryerson, Trondheim and Ankara.
