Special features regarding teachingDegree courses in Bioinformatics, Machine Learning and Medical Informatics that can be studied in English; seminars are held in English; examinations can be held in English; selected elective courses are also held in English already in the Bachelor's degree course. This allows students to settle in gradually from the 5th semester at the latest in order to be optimally prepared for a Master's degree course.

Special features regarding research activitiesResearch at the faculty has a very inter-disciplinary focus. The Universität Tübingen offers a highly inter-disciplinary research landscape. Cooperations with Medicine, Neurosciences, Linguistics, Bioinformatics, Psychology, the Institut for Wissensmedien (IWM, Institute for Knowledge Media), as well as the three local Max Planck institutes. The quality of research is characterised by high-ranking research programmes (several ERC- and Emmy-Noether groups) and intensive cooperation with industry.
