Special features regarding the equipmentTop modern IT equipment: Video transmission between all major lecture theatres; WiFi coverage in all buildings; sockets in to charge laptops in the main lecture theatres and under the tables of the main thoroughfares of Mathematics/Computer Science; online library access; info screens for quick information for students; inter-disciplinary research campus with over 13,000 students from different subject areas; our building offers students an exciting and creative environment such as the largest parabola slide in the world or one of the most modern trading simulation rooms in the world.

Special features regarding research activitiesThe Faculty of Mathematics at the TU München is one of the leading and most modern Mathematics institutes in Europe. Key area: The whole range of Applied Mathematics with particular focus on Numerics, Mathematical Physics, Optimisation, Biomathematics, Stochastics, Visualisation, Financial Mathematics and Data Sciences. Strong networking within the economic area of Munich; numerous research prizes and funding. Supra-regional and international third-party funded projects with partner universities. We promote student research.

Support for foundersTUM sees itself as an entrepreneurial university and proactively promotes start-ups by its scientists and students.
